ABOUT ME
Axel is an ‘identity designer’ through and through. His wide-ranging interests in music, street culture and art sparked an early fascination with the potential of design.
ABOUT IDENTITY & WAYFINDING
Axel aims to develop design solutions that provide people with guidance and give brands a distinctive identity. His particular strength lies in his ability to combine strategic thinking with creative precision, from the big picture to the smallest implementation detail.
As a member and leader of multidisciplinary design teams, he has over 25 years of national and international professional experience. Collaborating across a wide range of disciplines has reinforced his belief that the most effective solutions always come from teamwork.
He focuses on translating brand identity into tangible results and experiences, ranging from brand identity systems and spatial communication to digital media.
His work is underpinned by three guiding principles: precision of conception, consistency of design, and sensitivity to context, users and space. Numerous projects that Axel has realised in collaboration with the Ippolito Fleitz Group have been honoured with national and international design awards.
